Editorial standards

The answer cannot outrun the evidence.

Home Product Support is independent consumer technology guidance. Accuracy, applicability and user safety take priority over page count, affiliate opportunity and speed to publish.

01

Authorship and review

Every indexable record names the responsible editorial team and shows a review date. Contributor biographies must explain relevant device, platform or support experience. A generic byline cannot substitute for accountability.

02

AI assistance

Automation may organize research, compare structured fields or assist a draft. It is never the evidence source, cannot invent a test and cannot perform the final factual or risk review.

03

Programmatic publishing

A routable combination is not automatically indexable. Scaled pages must resolve an exact product or documented code and provide a complete useful answer. Near-duplicates, unsupported code mappings, unknown models and search-result permutations remain unpublished or noindex.

04

Commercial independence

The direct answer appears before advertising, affiliate links or partner referrals. A paid relationship must be disclosed where it could influence a choice, and it cannot alter a compatibility or troubleshooting result.

05

Corrections

Reports are triaged by safety and user impact. A material correction updates the answer, dependent records and change history. A disputed forum post is investigated, not automatically copied into a guide.
