How to change the default browser on iPhone or iPad
On current iOS and iPadOS, open Settings, choose Apps, then Default Apps and Browser App. The alternate browser must be installed and support the default-browser role.

Open Settings › Notifications, choose the app, then change Allow Notifications, delivery style, sounds, badges or previews. If alerts still stay quiet, check Focus and Scheduled Summary before reinstalling the app.

Apple moves and renames settings between iOS and iPadOS releases, so a path from a guide written for an older version may not exist on yours. Open Settings and use the search box at the top: typing a word such as notifications or default browser takes you straight to the page on any version. Settings, General, About shows your iOS version so you can match it to a guide.
Many changes are per app. Notification, location, camera and microphone permissions are set under Settings, then the app's name, or under Privacy and Security for a system-wide view. Changing a setting does not delete data, but resetting a group, such as Reset Network Settings under General, Transfer or Reset iPhone, clears saved Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth pairings.
Apple changes the layout of Settings between iOS versions, so use the search field at the top of Settings when a path from an older guide is missing. Most privacy controls are under Privacy and Security, notifications are under Notifications, and default apps such as the browser and mail are under Apps. A setting that cannot be found may be restricted by Screen Time or a managed profile.
Why can't I find a setting on my iPhone?
The path may have moved in a newer iOS version, or Screen Time or a work profile may hide it. Use the search field in Settings.
