Sonos documents two delay paths for the Ace. Over Bluetooth from a phone, delay depends on the link: keep within 30 feet, avoid microwaves, cordless phones, metal and concrete, and check the phone's data connection for streaming. For TV, TV Audio Swap sends home theater audio from a compatible soundbar (Arc, Arc SL, Arc Ultra, Beam Gen 1 and 2, Beam Ultra or Ray) to the Ace, needs WiFi on the soundbar and works with up to two headphones; the spatial audio mix and Dynamic Head Tracking add processing, and head tracking is disabled when two headphones share a session.
If picture and sound drift, reboot the TV and source and check their audio processing as Sonos advises for its soundbars, then re-run the swap. On the Ace Ultra, headphone linking uses the home WiFi and a lossy stereo stream, and weak WiFi coverage as you move can drop the link; only one headphone link can be active. Bluetooth and AirPlay are not eligible for headphone linking. Rebooting the headphones with a 10-second hold and USB-C disconnected clears a stuck link.
