Apple's HomeKit Secure Video, the system Apple Home uses for cameras, is a different standard that Google's camera does not support, so scanning a HomeKit code will find nothing, because the camera does not have one. Check Google's current compatibility page, since standards for cameras are changing, but until Google states support, plan for Google Home. There are ways to get the camera into an Apple household. If you want the camera visible next to your other devices, a bridge such as a third-party hub that exposes Google devices to HomeKit exists, but it adds complexity and may not support live video, so weigh it. and camera support has been slow to arrive across the industry, so a battery camera from before that is unlikely to be updated. Do not waste time with factory resets for this: resetting a Nest camera will not give it a HomeKit code. If the camera has other problems, such as not connecting to Wi-Fi, check the Google Home app and its signal.
