GE dishwasher controls are locked or buttons do not respond

GE dishwasher controls are locked or buttons do not respond: control lock, wet panels, active cycles and door state can disable keys without a failed console. Scoped to PDT785S*.

The GE Profile PDT785's Lock Controls option stops selections being made, and it can be set after a cycle has started so nothing changes mid-cycle. GE's manual says to lock or unlock, depending on the model, press and hold the Dry Boost pad, or press the Steam-Sani, Presoak-Sani or Sanitize pads at the same time, for 3 seconds. The Lock Controls light comes on when locked and goes off when unlocked. If the panel ignores presses, also check the Sabbath/Door Wake Up mode, which makes the display, sounds and interior lights ignore the door until a pad is pressed.
