  The compartments are set from the dispenser panel or inside. Fresh food at about 37 degrees Fahrenheit and the freezer near 0 degrees suit most households, and a change should be left for a day before you judge it.
• The French-door seals
  Two doors meet at a center mullion, so a gap there is common when one door is slightly out of line. Check that both doors close fully and that the seals are clean, since a leaking center seal causes frost near the middle.
• A French-door layout
  A French-door model has a fridge on top with two doors and a freezer drawer below. A door that will not seal usually has something in its way, so check the shelves and the gasket for food or crumbs.
• Ice and water
  The ice maker needs a steady water line and a filter that is changed every six months. A filter that is overdue or an ice maker with a frozen line can cause slow ice or small cubes.
• Temperature and airflow
  Keep the fridge near 37 degrees Fahrenheit and the freezer near zero, and leave room round the food so air can move. A warm section often follows blocked vents inside.
