  An in-door ice maker and an external dispenser depend on the water line, the EveryDrop filter and the freezer temperature. The in-door ice maker and its fill line are a common place for ice faults.
• Warm coils are normal
  The compressor rejects heat at the coils, so warm coils are normal. A dirty condenser coil cannot shed heat and causes gradual warming.
• Cleaning the coil
  Vacuum the condenser coil underneath or behind, as the manual describes. It is the most-skipped refrigerator maintenance and a top cause of poor cooling.
• The warm fridge side
  A worn door gasket or blocked vents from the freezer side also warm the fresh-food side. Check the seal with a sheet of paper in the door.
• Finding the model number
  The label is inside the fresh-food compartment; Whirlpool lists the full model as WRS588FIHZ.
• The dispenser and the filter
  The EveryDrop filter should be changed about every six months. A new filter needs the dispenser to run for a few glasses to purge air, and the filter message must be reset.
• In-door ice storage
  The ice storage bin in the freezer door is filled by the ice maker. Clumped ice that has melted and refrozen should be emptied, since it blocks the chute and the dispenser.
