When the lights go out or the display is blank, the cause is more often the power, a mode or a door switch than a failed bulb. Check the power first. Look at whether other things in the kitchen work, check the breaker and make sure the refrigerator is plugged in firmly; a plug that has worked loose after the unit was moved is a common cause. If the refrigerator is still cooling but the lights and display are out, the lighting circuit or the control panel is at fault, not the supply. Next check the door.

The interior lights come on when a door switch registers the door opening; a switch that is stuck or a door that does not open far enough can leave the lights off. Open and close the door several times and look for the light. Then look at the modes. LED lights are usually part of an assembly rather than a bulb, so a technician replaces the assembly. Reset by unplugging for a minute.
