Sonos portable speakers needs a safe reset or will not reset

Sonos portable speakers (Move 2 and Roam 2) needs a safe reset or will not reset: pairings, app account, EQ, groups and stored settings may be removed. Scoped to Move 2, with the Roam 2 in the model notes.

Sonos gives separate reboot and reset steps for portables. To reboot a Move or Move 2 take it off the base, hold the power button at least five seconds until the light turns off, wait 10 seconds and press power or place it back on the base. To reboot a Roam or Roam 2 disconnect it from charging cables and wireless chargers, hold the power button at least five seconds until the power-off tone and the light turns off, wait 10 seconds and press power; a frozen Roam can be force rebooted by holding the button for 15 seconds.

To factory reset a Roam or Roam 2, hold the power button five seconds to power off, then hold Play/Pause while pressing and releasing power, and keep holding until the light flashes orange and white and then green. For a Move or Move 2, power off with the button on the back held five seconds, then hold the Join button on a Move or the Bluetooth button on a Move 2 while powering on by the button or the base, until the light flashes orange and white and then green. A reset deletes registration and content services, is done before selling, and a portable on another system needs it to group. After a reset forget it in your phone's Bluetooth list.
