  A cooling pad that lifts the base helps airflow, a gaming mouse with a wireless dongle avoids Bluetooth drops, and a headset with a 3.5 millimetre plug works without drivers. Blow dust from the vents every six months with compressed air held at a distance, and use a backpack with padding. Keep the large adapter and cable in good condition, since a frayed cable is a fire risk and a common cause of a no-charge fault. Register the service tag with Dell so that warranty claims go through quickly, and keep a copy of the receipt.
