Every Dacor range code: what it means and what to do
Dacor range code F0
A Clock button on the key panel that is stuck down.
Press the Clock button a few times to see whether it frees itself.
If the button stays stuck the control key panel is replaced.
Dacor range code F2
An oven over-temperature: the oven went hotter than the control allows.
Switch the oven off and let it cool before anything is touched.
A stuck relay on the control board, a failed sensor or a short in the heating circuit can all let the oven run away, so a service technician is the right person to find which one it is.
Dacor range code F3
A shorted oven temperature sensor circuit.
Cut power to the range or unplug it before checking the sensor wiring.
Reconnect loose wires on the sensor's harness or replace a damaged harness, then measure the sensor with a meter: it should read about 1,100 ohms at room temperature, and a sensor outside that is replaced. If the sensor measures well, the electronic oven control is the part to replace.
Dacor range code F4
An open oven temperature sensor circuit, which means the control sees a break where the sensor should be.
Cut power to the range or unplug it before checking the sensor wiring.
Check the sensor's harness for loose or damaged wires, then measure the sensor: about 1,100 ohms at room temperature is healthy. A reading outside that means the sensor is replaced, and a good sensor points to the electronic oven control.
Dacor range code F6
A defective electronic oven control, in which only the time of day and the timer still work.
Cut power to the range or unplug it.
Leave it for three minutes so that the board resets and then restore power. If F6 returns, the electronic oven control is replaced.
Dacor range code F7 or F8
A fault in the oven door lock circuit.
Cut power to the range before looking at the lock.
Check the lock assembly's wiring for loose connectors, replace a damaged harness and look over the lock itself for visible damage; a broken lock assembly is replaced.

Dacor range codes and first checks
Dacor ranges combine gas or electric burners with an electronic oven control, and a code on the display refers to the oven sensor, the control board or the door lock. Check that the oven door is closed, that nothing is stuck on the control panel and that the range has power; a gas range also needs an electrical supply for its igniters.
Clean any spills from the panel, then switch the breaker off for a minute and turn it back on. If the code returns, or the oven does not heat, call Dacor service with the model and serial number. Do not remove covers or work on gas connections yourself.
Dacor ranges, particularly those with dual-fuel or induction cooktops, have several control boards, and the code names the board that failed. Premium ranges often need the model number and the date code on the plate to identify the right part. Use only a technician approved by Dacor for work on gas lines or electrical parts. If the range clicks without lighting a burner, turn off the gas and wait, and call service if the problem persists.
Dacor's ranges include dual-fuel and induction models with several boards and sensors. A code names the board or the sensor, and in a premium range these parts are model-specific, so the full model number matters. Look at the label inside the oven door frame or behind the drawer and copy all of it, since a range with the same name but a different suffix may use a different control.
An oven that heats unevenly or does not reach temperature should be checked with a separate oven thermometer. If the readings differ from the display by a large amount, the sensor may have drifted. The convection fan should run quietly while the oven is on; a rattle or a silent fan points to the fan motor. Do not use the oven if it overheats, smells of burning or shows a sensor code that persists.
On a dual-fuel range, the cooktop burns gas and the oven is electric, so you need both a gas connection and a 240 volt supply. If a burner clicks without lighting, clean the cap and ports and dry them before trying again. For an induction cooktop, use flat magnetic pans and check that the pan is the right size for the zone. Keep the cooktop vents clear.
Why does my Dacor range show a code and not heat?
The oven control may have detected a sensor or board fault. Reset the power once, and call for service if it returns.
Why does my gas burner click without lighting?
The igniter may be dirty or the gas not reaching it; call service if it persists.
