Dacor makes high-end ovens, cooktops and refrigeration, and codes appear on the oven display or as a light pattern on dishwashers. Note the code and the model and serial numbers from the nameplate before you call: the same code can mean different things on a range and a dishwasher. Power the appliance off at the breaker for a minute to clear a temporary fault, and treat gas smells, burning odors or arcing as reasons to stop and call service.
Dacor ovens, cooktops and dishwashers display codes that point to a sensor, the door lock, the control or the heating system. Because Dacor appliances are premium models with their own control boards, a code usually means a part has to be checked by a service technician, but some causes are safe to look at first: a door that is not fully closed, a tripped breaker, a wet or dirty keypad and a blocked drain on a dishwasher.
Record the exact code and the function in use, then power the appliance off for a minute. If the code returns, contact Dacor service with the model and serial number from the data plate.
Dacor premium ovens and cooktops have electronic controls that report a fault with a code and sometimes a sound. Check that the door is closed, the breaker is on and that nothing is stuck on the control panel. A temperature probe or a door-lock code needs a service technician, and Dacor's service line needs the full model and serial number.
Dacor appliances are sold through kitchen dealers, who often arrange installation and first service. If an appliance shows a code soon after installation, tell the dealer, since the fault may be in the installation, such as a gas connection or a power supply. Keep the dealer's details with the manuals. Dacor's technicians have training on its products, and a repair under warranty may need the dealer's invoice.
