Electrolux lists AD as the Auto Dry setting — an operating mode, not a fault.
Confirm an automatic drying cycle is selected.
No repair applies; this is a cycle setting.
Electrolux dryer code E 4
Electrolux states E 4 means the humidity sensor has failed.
Note whether automatic cycles finish damp while timed cycles work.
Electrolux states the dryer will complete the current cycle and manual cycles still work; schedule service if the code continues.
Electrolux dryer code E 42
Electrolux states E 42 means the door is open.
Electrolux directs checking the door is not blocked and is fully closed.
Clear the obstruction and close the door fully.
Electrolux dryer code EF1
Electrolux states EF1 means a ventilation blockage.
Check the lint filter for blockage or lint build-up.
Electrolux's own list: check the exhaust tube for bends, restrictions and blocks, check the vent exit for blockage, and clear any debris. A blocked dryer vent is a fire risk — do not keep running the dryer with this code present.
