  1. What to do first

    Reversible

Look at the dock's indicator light with the robot docked.

  2. Correct only the documented fault domain

    Reversible

Roborock's newer steps: with the robot docked, the dock indicator light should be OFF, which means the charging contacts are connected and charging works; if the light stays ON, reposition the robot slightly until it goes OFF, clean the charging contacts on the robot and the dock of dust, stains or oxidation with a dry cloth, a cloth lightly moistened with alcohol, or an eraser, and check the dock's power cable is firmly seated in the dock and the wall outlet, trying a different outlet if needed. Roborock's earlier article also says to unplug the dock for about 2 minutes and plug it back in. If the error continues, contact Roborock Customer Support.

  3. Look at the dock and its light

    Reversible

Error 13 concerns charging. Check that the dock is plugged in and its power light is on. If the light is off, try another outlet and check the cable.

  4. Clean the charging contacts

    Reversible

Wipe the metal contacts on the robot's underside and on the dock with a dry cloth. Dust and a film of dirt stop the current.

  5. Place the dock properly

    Reversible

Put the dock against a wall on a hard floor, with about half a meter clear on each side and a meter in front. Remove objects that block the robot's path to it.

  6. Check the temperature

    Reversible

A battery that is hot or cold will not charge. Leave the robot at room temperature for an hour and try again.

  7. Charge for a long period and replace an old battery

    Reversible

Leave the robot on the dock for several hours. If it still does not charge, or runs for only a few minutes, the battery may be worn, and Roborock sells replacements.

  8. Check the dock's outlet and strip

    Reversible

Plug the dock into a wall outlet, not a power strip with a switch or a surge protector that has tripped. A dock with its light on is receiving power, but a faint light can mean a weak adapter, so test the outlet with another device.

  9. Watch the robot dock

    Reversible

Start a return-to-dock from the app and watch whether the robot lines up with the contacts. A dock that has been pushed out of place or a rug under the dock can stop the contacts meeting. Fix the dock to the floor with the supplied pad if it moves.

  10. Look at the battery door and contacts

    Reversible

Make sure the battery is seated and its contacts are clean. If the robot has been dropped or stored in a cold place, the battery may need to rest at room temperature before it will accept a charge.
