Matter, the cross-platform standard, has been slower to arrive for cameras than for lights and locks, so do not count on it for a camera of this generation. Check Ring's current compatibility page, since standards are changing. There are ways to live with this. Use the Ring app on your iPhone as the viewer, which works well, with alerts for motion and people. If your household is Apple-centered, a camera that supports HomeKit Secure Video is the simple answer, and the Floodlight Cam can remain for lighting and deterrence. A bridge that exposes Ring devices to HomeKit exists from third parties, but it adds complexity, may not carry live video, and relies on Ring's cloud, so weigh it.

For smart home automations in Apple Home, you can use motion events from a HomeKit-compatible sensor in place of the camera. Do not factory reset the camera in the hope of adding HomeKit support, since a reset changes nothing about the standards it supports. If you want the camera to work with Alexa displays and routines, set it up with the Ring skill. If you wire it to a switch for the floodlights, remember that the lights are controlled by the camera's own electronics, so a smart switch will not integrate them into HomeKit either. Contact Ring about compatibility questions, and keep the app updated.

The Floodlight Cam Wired Pro also has its own electrical dimension, which a smart home bridge cannot reach: the lights, the siren and the camera run from the house wiring and are controlled by the camera's electronics. A smart switch on the circuit can cut power to the whole unit, but it will not make the camera visible to Apple Home, and switching power off disables the camera and its recording. If you want floodlights that appear in Apple Home, a separate HomeKit or Matter floodlight is the answer, with Ring kept for the camera. Ring owners who also run Alexa routines can combine them with the Ring app's own light schedule, which covers most uses without any Apple Home involvement.
