• Drying — heated dry (has an element)
  Unlike Bosch, this Whirlpool has a heated-dry option with a heating element (plus a fan-assist on this tier), so it dries plastics better — but the element is exposed at the tub bottom, so keep plastics off the floor of the tub to avoid melting. Rinse aid still improves results.
• Wash & racks
  Top-tier Whirlpool with a stainless tub, a 3rd rack, and a sensor (Adaptive Wash) cycle that adjusts to soil.
• Drain path
  'Won't drain' is usually the filter, a kinked drain hose, the air gap, or — after a new disposer install — the disposer knockout plug not removed.
• Cycles
  Five: Heavy, Normal, Quick Wash, Sensor Wash and Soak & Clean.
• Sensors
  Two sensors measure temperature and soil level during the prewash and wash, setting the wash and dry automatically.
