A heat-pump dryer also runs long, quiet cycles, so a pause may simply be a phase, but a stop with a message needs a check. Check the water first. If the dryer is not plumbed to a drain, the water container fills during drying, and a full container stops the cycle with a message; empty it and restart. If it is plumbed to a drain, look at the drain hose for a kink or a clog, and check that it is higher at the dryer than at the drain so that water does not flow back.

Then the filters: pull out the lint filters and clean them thoroughly, including the second filter behind the first and the condenser area, because lint on them cuts airflow, and the dryer stops when it overheats or cannot dry. Then think about the load and the room. A heavy, overfull load slows heat transfer and can stop the cycle; dry smaller loads. A hot, cramped closet with no air around the dryer makes the heat pump work harder and can trip a protection;

give the dryer air and keep the room cool. If the dryer is installed on an unlevel floor it may stop with a drain fault; level it. The Auto Cleaning Condenser runs on its own, so a pause with water noises is normal.
