• Type — DUAL-FUEL (gas cooktop + electric oven)
  A DUAL-FUEL range: a GAS cooktop (clicking igniters and flames) with an ELECTRIC oven — the combination cooks preferred by many for gas-top control and even electric baking. Crucially, the no-heat diagnosis splits by part: a cooktop problem is gas (igniter/cap/supply), while an oven problem is electric (element/control). It needs BOTH a gas line and a 240V electric supply.
• Cooktop — gas
  Burners click to ignite; a burner that clicks but will not light is a wet/misaligned cap or clogged ports. No click means the igniter or power. Gas supply must be on.
• Oven — electric
  Electric oven with convection and Air Fry — no-heat is the element or control, NOT a gas igniter (the oven is electric even though the cooktop is gas).
• Cooktop versus oven
  The cooktop burns gas, with clicking igniters and flames, and the oven heats with electric elements. A fault splits by part: a burner problem is gas, meaning the igniter, the cap or the supply, and an oven problem is electric, meaning the element or the control.
• Burners that click but do not light
  A burner that clicks but will not light usually has a wet or misaligned cap or clogged ports. No click at all points at the igniter or at the power to the range. The gas supply valve must be on.
• An oven that stays cold
  If the gas cooktop works but the oven is cold, the oven's bake or broil element or its control is at fault, not a gas igniter. Check the range's electrical supply too, since the oven needs power the cooktop's igniters do not.
• Air Fry and convection
  No Preheat Air Fry circulates hot air with the convection fan, so a result that differs from a normal bake is a mode setting, not a failure. Check which mode is selected.
• Slide-in fit
  A slide-in range has no back panel and sits between cabinets with the cooktop edges resting on the countertop, so the overlap is intentional.
• Finding the model number
  The label is on the frame inside the oven door or behind the storage drawer; GE lists the full model as P2S930YPFS.
• Gas safety on the cooktop
  If you smell gas, turn off the supply, ventilate and leave the house before calling the gas company. A burner that clicks but will not light is a cap or port matter, but a gas smell is never a do-it-yourself matter.
• Using the electric oven
  The electric convection oven preheats with its bake and broil elements. An oven that is slow to heat or reads cold has an element or sensor problem; the gas cooktop's working shows only that the gas supply is fine.
