Every Epson EcoTank printer error codes: LCD code: what it means and what to do

Epson EcoTank printer error codes: LCD code E-01

A printer error has occurred. Epson says to turn the product off and on again, and if the error continues, check for a paper jam.

Turn the printer off, then on again, and look inside for a paper jam or protective material.

Epson's steps: turn the product off and then back on again, and if the error continues check for a paper jam. If there is no paper jam, contact Epson for support. Epson's light-status page for a printer with lights says that when all lights flash, paper or protective material may be stuck inside, so open the front cover and remove it before restarting.

Epson EcoTank printer error codes: LCD code E-02

A scanner error has occurred.

Turn the printer off and then on again.

Epson's only listed step for E-02 is to turn the product off and then back on again. Epson's page lists nothing further for E-02, so if the code returns, contact Epson support.

Epson EcoTank printer error codes: LCD code E-11

The ink pad needs to be replaced.

Note the code and the model number.

Epson's instruction for E-11 is to contact Epson for support. Epson's service-required page explains that the ink pads collect ink from setup, cleaning cycles and borderless printing, that high-volume or long-term users may see the message first, and that Epson offers an ink-pad replacement service or a local certified technician.

Epson EcoTank printer error codes: LCD code I-22, I-23

Wireless setup prompts rather than faults. I-22 asks you to press the button on the access point, or click the button on its wireless settings screen. I-23 asks you to enter the PIN shown on the printer's LCD into the access point or computer.

Note whether the LCD shows a button-press prompt (I-22) or a PIN (I-23).

For I-23, Epson says the PIN must be entered within two minutes: after that a time-out error occurs, the code changes, and you must enter a new code.

Epson EcoTank printer error codes: LCD code I-31, I-41, I-60

Setup messages. I-31 says to make wireless connection settings from your computer by running the installer. I-41 says the Paper Setup Auto Display option is disabled and must be enabled to use AirPrint. I-60 says your computer may not support WSD (Web Services for Devices), and that Scan to PC (WSD) works only on computers running English versions of Windows 10, Windows 8.x, Windows 7 or Windows Vista.

Read the exact code on the LCD screen, because these three messages ask for different things.

For I-41, enable Paper Setup Auto Display in the printer's settings to use AirPrint. For I-31, run the installer on your computer and follow its screen. For I-60, Epson's condition is that the Scan to PC (WSD) function is available only on the listed Windows versions.
