Every Epson WorkForce Pro printer code: what it means and what to do
Epson WorkForce Pro printer code 001
The product was turned off by a power failure.
Check whether the power was interrupted, and whether the plug is fully seated.
Epson lists 001 as a condition and gives no further step.
Epson WorkForce Pro printer code 101, 111
101 means memory is full. 111 means available memory is running low. Epson's solution for both is to reduce the size of the print job.
Look at how large the job is: many graphics, many pages or large fonts.
Epson's step is to reduce the size of the print job.
Epson WorkForce Pro printer code 102, 103, 104
102: collated printing failed because of a lack of available memory. 103: print quality was decreased because of a lack of memory. 104: reverse printing failed because of a lack of memory.
Note which of the three conditions your job code names.
Epson's steps: for 102 and 104, clear fonts and macros from the product's memory using the Clear Font and Macro option in the Setup menu and reduce the job size (for 102, or print one copy at a time). For 103, simplify the page by reducing graphics or the number and size of fonts.
Epson WorkForce Pro printer code 106, 107
106: the computer cannot print because of access control settings. 107: user authentication failed and the job was canceled.
Check whether the printer is set up with user accounts or restricted access.
Epson's instruction for both is to contact your printer administrator.
Epson WorkForce Pro printer code 108, 109, 110
108: confidential job data was deleted when the product was turned off. 109: the received fax was already deleted. 110: the job printed 1-sided because the loaded paper does not support 2-sided printing.
Check the job, and the paper type loaded.
Epson lists these as conditions. For 110, the page says the loaded paper does not support 2-sided printing.
Epson WorkForce Pro printer code 201
The product's memory is full.
Check how many faxes are waiting in memory.
Epson's step: you can send pages individually, or print received faxes and delete them to free up memory space.
Epson WorkForce Pro printer code 203
The product cannot detect a dial tone.
Check the phone cable and whether the phone line works.
Epson's steps: make sure the phone cable is connected correctly and the phone line works. If the product is on a PBX line or a Terminal Adapter, set Line Type to PBX. If you still cannot send a fax, turn off Dial Tone Detection, which Epson warns may cause the product to drop the first digit of a fax number.
Epson WorkForce Pro printer code 206, 207
206: the phone cable is incorrectly connected to the LINE and EXT ports. 207: the phone cable is not connected.
Look at the LINE and EXT ports on the back of the printer.
Epson's step is to connect the phone cable correctly (or, for 207, to connect it).
