JennAir range error codes
JennAir range codes as JennAir Product Help lists them, each with its meaning and the first safe check.
JennAir ranges, whether pro-style or Euro-style, mix a sophisticated control with a bold appearance, and they report problems with an F code and a number or a plain message on the display. This page lists the codes JennAir documents, each with its meaning and the first check, and separates the messages that clear themselves from the faults that need a technician.

Write the code down and find the model number on the frame behind the oven door or on the storage drawer frame. JennAir builds ranges in several generations with different control layouts, and the same code can differ between them. A premium range often has a touchscreen or a glass-touch panel, so a display fault can be as simple as a wet or smudged panel that reads a stuck key.
Dry and wipe the panel, cool the oven, and cycle the breaker for a minute. For a temperature or sensor code, check the probe is clear of the oven wall; for a door lock code, let the lock complete its cycle; for a code that shows at power-up on a dead panel, check the connection to the control.
A JennAir range of this standard is worth a technician's time: sensors, fans and locks are modest parts. Stop for gas smell, sparking or any need to work behind the panel.
On a JennAir range, a control with a glass or touch panel is why owners meet the keypad and communication codes. 1C1C, F2 E0 to F2 E6 and F1-5 mean the keypad or user interface reported a fault or its harness is unplugged; look for a stuck key, a wet or smudged panel, then the harness. F6 E0 and its relatives mean the appliance manager or the user interface lost communication with the oven control. C81, C82, C83 and an Indicator Flashing message mean a cooktop surface area is hot, has overheated or a key is held down, and the fix is a cool-down and a clean panel. FC E1 names the Wi-Fi module on a connected range: check the router and the account number typed during setup.
A JennAir range is more likely to have an illuminated glass control, and these can behave strangely when they are wet or smudged: a wiped panel can send a burst of keypresses that the control reads as a stuck key. Dry the panel with a soft cloth, wait a minute and try again before you assume the control has failed. If your range is connected, the Wi-Fi module has its own codes, and an FC code is a connection problem, not an oven fault.
Why does my JennAir panel behave oddly after cleaning?
A wet or smudged glass panel can read a stuck key. Dry it, and cycle the breaker.
Do JennAir pro-style and Euro-style ranges share codes?
Not always; match the code to the model number.
Why does my JennAir range show a keypad code after I cleaned it?
A wet or smudged glass panel can read as a stuck key. Dry the panel, cycle the breaker and try again.
What is an FC code on a JennAir range?
The Wi-Fi module could not connect, or registration failed. Check the router and the account number.
