• Official specifications
  Size approx. 4.5in x 7.9in x 2in, weight approx. 0.84lbs. Ports: two USB 2.0 ports on the side, system connector, AC adapter port, HDMI port, and a LAN port built in (like the OLED-model original-Switch dock, unlike the original launch dock).
• Type — Switch 2 dock accessory (BEE-005)
  The DOCK for the Switch 2, not a console — it carries power and video to the TV and outputs up to 4K with HDR over HDMI 2.1. It has a built-in FAN for cooling the docked console during high-performance play. No controller/storage/account functions of its own, so those symptoms do not apply.
• 4K / HDMI 2.1
  Unlike the original Switch dock (1080p), this dock supports up to 4K and higher frame rates — connect it to a TV's HDMI 2.1 port with a compatible cable for the full output.
• Fan noise is normal
  The dock's cooling fan can be audible during demanding docked games — that is the cooling working, not a fault; keep the dock's vents clear.

  After system update 21.0.0, owners of third-party Switch 2 docks reported charging still working but no picture on the TV. Nintendo said it had no intention of blocking legal third-party docks, and accessory makers shipped workarounds.
• The LAN port
  Reports of the dock's Ethernet port failing began within months of launch, some support agents called it a known issue, and owners said update 21.1.0 settled unstable wired connections.
• HDR and 120Hz on LG TVs
  Owners reported signal loss, flicker and an invalid-format message when docked to LG TVs with HDR on; several found that switching the 120Hz refresh rate off in the console's settings stopped it.
• What the dock outputs
  Up to 3840 by 2160 at 60 frames a second, and 120 frames a second at 1920 by 1080 or 2560 by 1440. It ships with a 60W supply and needs an Ultra High Speed HDMI cable.
