What is true of this model and changes how you fix it
- Official specificationsBE22000 class: 6GHz 11,530Mbps + 5GHz 8,647Mbps + 2.4GHz 1,376Mbps. Per unit: one 10Gbps port, one 10Gbps SFP+/RJ45 combo port, two 2.5Gbps WAN/LAN ports, one USB 3.0 port. 8 high-gain antennas, sold in 1/2/3-pack configurations.
- Wi-Fi 7 tri-band MESHA flagship Wi-Fi 7 (BE) Deco mesh with 2.4/5/6 GHz and multi-gig ports. Units cover a large home; a weak room usually means a node is too far. Wi-Fi 7/6 GHz needs compatible clients.
- Mesh backhaulA node offline/slow is usually its wireless backhaul — place nodes within range or use Ethernet backhaul between them for best results. Deco can also use 6 GHz as backhaul.
- Managed by Deco app onlyDeco is managed through the Deco app (no traditional web admin), which is where you check node status, backhaul and settings.
- Speeds (from TP-Link's product page)A Wi-Fi 7 tri-band mesh with 11530 Mbps on 6 GHz, 8647 Mbps on 5 GHz and 1376 Mbps on 2.4 GHz.
- Ports and USBPer unit, one 10 Gbps RJ45 and SFP+ combo port, two 2.5 Gbps ports and one USB 3.0 port.
- Wi-Fi 7 featuresMulti-Link Operation, 320 MHz channels and 4K-QAM.
- Coverage and sizeA 3-pack covers up to 9,600 sq ft and connects 200 or more devices. Each unit is 5.04 x 5.04 x 9.29 in.
- HomeShieldParental controls, threat monitoring and device isolation.
- Wi-Fi 7 and 10 gigabit portsThe BE85 uses Wi-Fi 7 and has a 10-gigabit port, so a fast fiber line can be used at its full rate with a wired device. Most phones and laptops will not yet reach the highest speeds, so a modest result on one device is not a sign of a fault.
- Using a wired backhaulBetween Deco units, a cable of Cat 6 or better gives the most stable link. Set the unit to wired in the Deco app, and place the units where they cover the house, not where the cable is most convenient.
- Also coveredDeco X55 mesh, speeds (from TP-Link's product page): 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz (HE160) and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz with 2x2 MU-MIMO.
- Also coveredDeco X55 mesh, coverage: A 2-pack covers up to 4,500 sq ft and a 3-pack up to 6,500 sq ft, connecting over 150 devices.

Exact questions
Questions that only have an answer for the TP-Link Deco mesh wifi (Deco BE85, BE63, XE75, X55 and M5)
One of my TP-Link Deco BE85 units is slow or shows a weak connection.+
That is the backhaul between that node and the rest of the mesh. In the Deco app, check the node's connection quality — if it is 'weak', move it closer to the main Deco or the previous node (one to two rooms, fewer walls), or connect it by Ethernet for a wired backhaul, which is the most reliable. A node placed too far has a weak backhaul, which slows every device connected to it.
