The inner folding screen has a factory-fitted protective film that must never be peeled off, because the film is part of the display. Keep the hinge free of grit and sand, and close the phone in a pocket without coins or keys. Water resistance is rated for fresh water to a limited depth, and a folded phone is not protected against dust.
• Care for a folding phone
  Open and close it with a steady motion rather than flicking it, and do not press the inner screen with a fingernail or a pen. Charging uses a USB-C cable, and wireless charging works; if the phone gets warm in a closed pocket, take it out and let it cool. Samsung's Care service and Samsung Members app run hardware tests, and a screen fault is usually repaired as a unit, so ask for a quote before deciding between repair and replacement.
