- Model — Series 8 (41/45mm)Added a temperature sensor (for sleep/cycle tracking) alongside ECG and blood oxygen; standard display and battery. Speaker/mic; GPS or GPS+Cellular.
- Cellular is optional (a variant)GPS-only or GPS+Cellular — cellular applies only to the cellular model with a plan.
- SensorsFull health sensor set (ECG, blood oxygen, temperature) — those health-feature symptoms all apply. Blood oxygen availability varies by region/date due to a patent dispute.
- What owners run intoOwners report slow charging, a watch that will not pair and battery life that has shortened with age.
- How to approach a faultClean the charger and the back, check Battery Health in Settings and re-pair.
- Finding your modelWatch app, General, About shows the model and serial number.
- Battery healthOn the watch, Settings, Battery, Battery Health shows the maximum capacity. Below about 80 percent, a battery service restores runtime.
- Pairing and resetsUnpair through the Watch app before selling or resetting, so Activation Lock is removed. If the watch will not pair, restart both devices.
- Keeping the watch healthyWash the back and the strap after workouts, avoid charging it hot and update watchOS. A strap with a bit of give lets the sensors read well. If the watch shows a skin temperature gap or a wrong reading, restart it and check that the back is clean.
- Straps and skinA strap that is too tight causes sensor errors and skin irritation, and one that is too loose gives poor readings. Wash silicone straps with mild soap, dry the back of the watch and let the skin breathe at night. Swap to a looser setting for sleep tracking and tighten for workouts.

Exact questions
Questions that only have an answer for the Apple Watch Series 8
The blood oxygen app is missing on my Apple Watch Series 8.+
Blood oxygen availability depends on where and when the watch was sold — due to a patent dispute, Apple disabled the blood-oxygen feature on some Apple Watches sold in the US after a certain date, while units sold earlier or in other regions keep it. So a missing Blood Oxygen app can be that regional/date restriction rather than a fault. ECG and the other health sensors are unaffected.
