Bosch dishwashers: drain, drying, filters and codes
Bosch dishwashers, such as the 300 Series, are known for quiet running and condensation drying, and the directory lists model pages. The problems owners report are dishes that stay wet, a drain fault, a cycle that stops, an odor, white film and a code on the display. Each model page gives the checks, and the Bosch code directory explains the codes.
Wet dishes on a Bosch are normal for plastics because the machine dries by condensation, and rinse aid and the Extra Dry option help. A drain fault needs the filter cleaned and the drain hose and air gap checked, and new installations sometimes still have the disposer knockout plug in place. Odors come from food in the filter. White film comes from hard water and a lack of rinse aid or salt.
The data plate is on the inside edge of the door and shows the model and the FD number. Bosch service asks for both. Rinse aid and, in hard water, dishwasher salt for the softener keep results good.
Why are the dishes wet on my Bosch?
It dries by condensation; use rinse aid and the Extra Dry option.
Where is the Bosch data plate?
Inside the edge of the door.
