Reset the breaker, and look at the switch. If the display lights but nothing starts, the door may not be latched; close it firmly until you hear the latch, check that nothing blocks it and press Start. The control lock disables the buttons: if a lock symbol or the words Control Lock show, hold the Control Lock button for three seconds to release it. The delay start may have been set, in which case the dishwasher waits and shows the time; cancel it by pressing Delay Start until it clears.

Samsung's dishwashers start a cycle after a few seconds of the door being shut, with a pause at the beginning, so give it half a minute. Check that a cycle is selected, since pressing Start with none selected does nothing. Water supply matters. The supply valve under the sink must be open, and the inlet screen clear, or the dishwasher will not fill and may stop with a code; check the display for a code such as one for water supply.

A leak sensor in the base can stop the dishwasher when it senses water; look for a leak and dry the base. If the dishwasher still does not start, reset the control by switching off the breaker for a minute. Run a short cycle after that. If the panel does not respond at all with power present, the control board may have failed, and Samsung service can test it with the model and serial numbers. Keep the filter clean to avoid drain faults that also stop it.
