GE range or oven will not connect to Wi-Fi or the manufacturer's app

GE range or oven will not connect to Wi-Fi or the manufacturer's app: confirm the exact model supports remote features and any remote-enable safety control. Scoped to JB735S*.

The GE JB735 series manual describes WiFi Connect on some models: press and hold the WiFi Connect pad for 3 seconds, then follow the oven display and the SmartHQ app. Have your home WiFi password ready and find the connected appliance label (with the Appliance UPD ID) inside the oven door or drawer. When connected, the connection light on the display stays solid; blinking or off means follow the app to reconnect, and GE gives 1.800.220.6899 for oven wireless help. To start the oven remotely, the WiFi icon must be lit and Remote Enable (App ENbl) must be on in Special Features; changing temperature, timers and turning off need only a connection.

Model facts from GE's manual
GE's owner's manual 49-2000999 covers the 30-inch free-standing electric ranges PB935, JB735 and JS760: a radiant glass cooktop with knobs (some with a dual or tri-ring element and a Warming Zone), one oven with Bake, Broil Hi/Lo, Warm, Convection modes, Air Fry, Steam Clean and Self Clean, a Lock Controls pad, a Delay Time pad, a storage drawer and, on some models, a WiFi Connect pad. Features and appearance vary by model.
Special Features menu
Hold the Bake and Broil pads together until the special features menu appears, use the 2 or 8 number pads to scroll, 6 to enter a feature and 6 again to save, and 4 to exit. The features include the oven temperature offset (OFSt), the end of timer tone (continuous or a single beep), Fahrenheit or Celsius, clock display on or off, clock configuration (12 or 24 hour), sound volume, Auto Recipe Conversion for Convection Multi-Bake temperatures, Remote Enable on models with WiFi Connect, and the 12-hour auto shut off that turns the oven off after 12 hours of continuous operation.
Lock Controls, Delay and Cook Time
Lock Controls is held for three seconds to lock or unlock the pads, and Cancel/Off always works even when the controls are locked. Delay Time sets the time of day you want the oven to start, and works only with Bake, Convection Bake, Convection Roast and Self-Clean. Cook Time turns the oven off after the set hours and minutes. GE warns that foods that spoil easily, such as milk, eggs, fish, stuffings, poultry and pork, should not sit more than an hour before or after cooking, and that the oven light should be off because its heat speeds bacteria growth.
