• Type — ROBOT vacuum
  A ROBOT vacuum that navigates and cleans on its own and returns to a dock — so its symptoms are navigation, docking, brushes and (on self-empty models) the base, not a handheld's battery/trigger. Matrix Clean makes it cross an area in a grid for repeated passes, so it deliberately goes over spots more than once.
• Docking & self-empty base
  It charges at a dock and, on base-equipped models, empties into a self-empty base. 'Won't dock/charge' is usually dirty charging contacts on the robot and dock, the dock moved or unplugged, or the dock's clearance blocked. 'Won't self-empty' is a full base bin or a clogged path.
