What is true of this model and changes how you fix it

• Type — CORDED upright, Lift-Away (no battery)
  A CORDED upright whose canister pod detaches ('Lift-Away') to become a portable unit for stairs and above-floor cleaning — but it stays corded, so no battery/runtime applies. The Lift-Away pod is a feature, not a part that has come loose.
• Brushroll & modes
  In Lift-Away mode the motorised floor brushroll may stop (it is powered through the main body on some models), which is expected — for a spinning brush on stairs use the powered pet/upholstery tool. A stopped roller in upright mode is usually wrapped hair or a thermal cut-out.
• Filter & airway
  Washable foam/felt filters plus HEPA — wash on schedule, dry fully. Clear the wand, hose and head for suction loss.
• The Lift-Away pod
  The detachable pod is a feature and not a part that has come loose. A pod that is not clicked back fully into the body can leave the vacuum with no power or weak suction.

• Using the Lift-Away pod
  Press the release button to lift the pod off the body and use the wand for stairs and furniture. Click the pod back until you hear it seat before you stand the vacuum upright, since a loose pod loses suction.
• Cord care
  Wind the cord loosely and do not pull the vacuum by the cord. A cord that has been nicked can cut out the power as it flexes.
