iRobot Customer Care — The Roomba 600 series error messages chart
Roomba 600 series errors: the common ones
The 600 series Roombas (such as the 614, 650 and 690) show an error by flashing the Clean button light and playing a number of beeps or a spoken message, and most of the errors point to something you can see. Wheels packed with hair, a bin that is full or not seated, a stuck brush and a dirty cliff sensor account for the majority, and the robot usually tells you which one with its message, such as to place it on a flat surface or to clean the brushes.
Turn the robot over and clear the brushes, wheels and cliff sensors, empty the bin and refit it firmly, and wipe the charging contacts on the robot and the dock with a dry cloth. A robot that does not charge needs the dock plugged in and clear of obstacles. Restart by holding the Clean button for about ten seconds. If an error returns after cleaning, the battery or a motor may be worn, and iRobot support can advise.
How do I restart a Roomba 600 series?
Hold the Clean button for about ten seconds until the light goes out, then release it.
What does a flashing Clean light mean?
The robot has an error. Listen for the message or beeps and check the brushes, wheels and bin.
