Google wearable model troubleshooting

Google wearable troubleshooting covers 2 model families: Google Pixel Watch (Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Watch 2), Pixel Watch 2. Choose the complete Google model family before opening a fix, and read the model number off your label first.

Google makes the Pixel Watch and owns Fitbit, and the directory lists model pages. Owners report a watch that will not charge, will not pair or sync, drains its battery, shows wrong heart rate readings or loses notifications. The model pages give the checks.

Google Pixel Watch and Fitbit: charging, pairing, battery and sensors

For charging, clean the contacts and align the watch on its charger. For pairing, keep Bluetooth on and the app open, and restart both devices. For battery, turn off the Always-on display and review the apps. For sensors, wear the watch snugly and keep the back clean.

The serial number is in the watch's settings or on the back. Google and Fitbit support ask for it. Keep the watch's software updated.

Pixel Watch and Fitbit devices store their data in different accounts, though Google has been moving Fitbit users to Google accounts. If a watch will not sync, check which account it is signed in to and whether the phone app is the Pixel Watch or the Fitbit one. Battery life depends strongly on the display, the always-on mode, GPS and the number of notifications, so a watch that drains quickly often has one of these set high. Review the settings before you suspect the battery.

Why won't my Pixel Watch charge?

Clean the contacts and seat it on the charger.

Why does it not sync?

Keep the app open and Bluetooth on, and restart both devices.

Why does my watch drain fast?

The always-on display, GPS and notifications use the most power.
