Samsung dishwasher will not drain or leaves water in the tub

Samsung dishwasher will not drain or leaves water in the tub: separate normal sump water from a blocked filter, pump cover, hose, air gap, disposal connection or household drain. Scoped to DW80B7070*.

For water that won't pump out of the Samsung DW80B7070, Samsung's table has one cause and one fix: the drain is clogged, so clean the drain pump by removing the drain-pump cover. The manual's own steps: remove the lower rack, remove the cylindrical micro filter, sponge away any moisture, push the drain-pump cover's handle in the arrow direction and lift it off, check the impeller is in good condition, clear foreign matter from the pump, and press the cover down until it clicks. The 5C drain check code means the same: after closing the water supply valve, check whether the drain hose is clogged or folded and whether the drain hole in the sump is clogged.
