Samsung range and oven codes: C codes, E codes and the door lock
Samsung ranges and ovens show codes starting with C or E. The ones that appear most are for the control and its fan (C-20 and C-21), a stuck or constantly pressed control-panel key (C-30 and related), the oven temperature probe, and the door lock (C-90 and C-91). A code that appears when you did not press anything on the panel often means a key is stuck or the panel is wet, and a door-lock code means the latch did not move as expected.
Turn off the oven and let it cool before you investigate, make sure the vents are not blocked, dry the panel and release any stuck key, then turn the breaker off for about a minute and restore it. Never force the oven door open. Codes that return point to a part such as the cooling fan, a temperature probe, the latch motor or the control board and need a service visit.
What should I do if the oven door will not unlock?
Let the oven cool and do not force the door. Reset the power at the breaker and call for service if the lock code returns.
Why is my Samsung range showing a code with nothing pressed?
A key may be stuck or the panel may be wet. Dry it, release every key and reset the power.
