Samsung washer code OE, 0E, OC, 0C, 1 OC, 1 0C
Overflow error: there is too much water in the washer.
Turn off the water supplies and observe whether filling stops.
Samsung lists this as the Overflow error and points to its separate guide for the full steps. Its excess-suds page says over-sudsing from too much detergent or a non-HE detergent is a common reason for water-level errors.
- A drain path that is not draining: The tub holds more water than it should and the code shows. Samsung points to its no-drain guide: level the washer, inspect the drain hose and clean the pump filter
- A drain hose installed wrongly: Water siphons out or the hose is kinked, which points to a drain hose installed wrongly. The hose must sit 6 to 8 inches into the pipe and not form an airtight seal
- Excess detergent suds: Suds fill the drum along with the code, which points to excess detergent suds. Run empty cycles without detergent until suds no longer appear
Samsung says to level the washer, inspect the drain hose, clean the pump filter on a front-load, then start a cycle and confirm it drains at the start.
The drain hose should be at least 18 inches and no more than 96 inches high, and not inserted less than 6 or more than 8 inches.
Run an empty cycle with no detergent; if suds appear, keep running empty cycles until they stop.
