Charge it away from heat, since a hot foldable ages its battery faster. If the hinge makes a new noise, stop and book a check rather than forcing it, and keep any grit from the hinge with a soft brush.

  Parts for a foldable cost more than for a slab phone, and repairs should go to Google or an authorized partner, since a poor hinge or screen repair can fail quickly.
