Samsung Galaxy S25+ troubleshooting
Samsung Galaxy S25+ (SM-S936*): the middle S25; what owners run into; how to approach a fault; finding your model and software; choosing a case and charger; protecting your data, and a fix for each symptom below.
- The middle S25Samsung's middle S25 pairs a large 6.7 inch AMOLED screen with faster charging than the base model and the Galaxy AI tools introduced with One UI 7. It has no stylus and no extra-long zoom, which makes it the practical choice for people who want a big screen without the Ultra's price.

What is true of this model and changes how you fix it
- Tier — flagship Plus (no built-in S Pen)A large flagship without the Ultra's built-in S Pen. One UI over Android, long updates, DeX.
- eSIM + physical SIM, IP68Connectivity issues are carrier/eSIM first.
- One UIOne UI differences from stock Android are Samsung's software, not faults.
- What owners run intoThe reports are the familiar ones for a new flagship: the phone running warm while it restores apps, Galaxy AI features that stop working when the network or the Samsung account misbehaves, and fast charging that does not happen because the adapter or cable is not the 45 watt kind. A screen protector can also confuse the ultrasonic fingerprint reader.
- How to approach a faultLet the phone finish setup and updates for a day before judging battery or heat. Then check the charger and cable, restart, and review Settings, Battery for any app using too much.
- Finding your model and softwareOpen Settings, About phone to see the model name, the One UI version and the security patch date. If the patch is more than two months old, check Software update, because Samsung ships fixes for the S25 line on a monthly cycle and many first-year faults are corrected that way.
- Choosing a case and chargerThe S25+ supports Qi2 wireless charging with a magnetic case, and its 45 watt wired charging needs a USB Power Delivery adapter with the PPS feature. A charger that lacks PPS charges at ordinary speed, and a thick case reduces wireless speed and adds heat.
- Protecting your dataBack up with Samsung Cloud or Google before any reset, and turn on Find My Mobile so that a lost phone can be located. Use Secure Folder for banking apps if several people use the phone, and set a PIN that is not your birthday.

Exact questions
Questions that only have an answer for the Samsung Galaxy S25+
How do I move my number to my Galaxy S25+ eSIM?+
The S25+ supports eSIM and a physical SIM. To set up an eSIM, contact your carrier for an eSIM QR code or use their app, then add it in Settings › Connections › SIM manager › Add eSIM. Keep Wi-Fi on during activation. If it fails, the carrier has to provision the eSIM on their side — many 'eSIM won't activate' cases are the carrier account, not the phone. Do not delete your only working eSIM without the carrier's guidance.
Why will my S25+ not fast charge?+
It needs a 45 watt USB Power Delivery adapter and a compatible cable; a basic charger gives normal speed.
Why is Galaxy AI not working?+
Some features need an internet connection and a Samsung account, so check both.
What is PPS?+
Programmable Power Supply, the charging standard that lets a Samsung phone reach its fastest speeds.
Where do I check the security patch date?+
Settings, About phone, Software information.
