What is true of this model and changes how you fix it

• Official specifications
  Same throughput and yield as the G7020 (13 ipm black / 6.8 ipm color, up to 6,000 black / 7,700 color pages per GI-20 bottle set, 350-sheet capacity) — the G6020 differs from the G7020 mainly by omitting fax.
• Type — refillable INK TANK all-in-one (MegaTank)
  A cartridge-free MegaTank inkjet AIO — refill ink BOTTLES for very low cost per page. No fax on this model versus the G7020.
• Initial charging & refills
  First setup charges the printhead with starter ink (normal). Refill the matching bottle when low; do not run tanks dry.
• Connectivity
  Wi-Fi/USB via the Canon app; 'offline' is usually a Wi-Fi drop or wrong queue.
• Paper
  A 250-sheet front cassette and a rear tray for 100 plain sheets, 20 sheets of 4 x 6 or 10 of 5 x 7 photo paper.
• What it cannot do
  No automatic document feeder, so it cannot scan or copy a stack unattended, and no fax (Tom's Guide).
• Speed and resolution
  13 ipm black and 6.8 ipm color at 4800 x 1200 dpi.
• Identification
  The Canon MegaTank G6020 has its serial on a label at the back. Canon's support pages are organized by model, and the serial helps with warranty.
• Refilling the tanks
  The G6020 uses bottles of ink that you pour into tanks at the front. Use the Canon bottles for each color and fill to the line, one tank at a time. Do not mix the colors, and wipe up spills.
• Printing tips
  Run a nozzle check if the print looks faint and a cleaning if lines are missing, no more than a few times. Use the printer at least weekly to keep the nozzles moist.
• Maintenance cartridge
  The MegaTank has a maintenance cartridge that collects waste ink. When it is nearly full, the printer warns you, and Canon sells a replacement. Do not ignore the warning, since a full cartridge stops printing.
• Wireless and apps
  The Canon PRINT app sets up the printer on Wi-Fi and prints from a phone. If the printer is offline, restart it and the router, and check that its IP address has not changed.
• Warranty and supplies
  Canon's support site lists the warranty from the serial number. Keep the ink bottles upright in a cool place, and use Canon's bottles for the best results. The maintenance cartridge is a replaceable part that Canon supplies.
