- HP+ / '+e' — genuine ink + internetHP+: genuine HP ink, internet and enrolment; Instant Ink cartridges stop if the plan lapses; third-party ink rejected.
- ConnectivityWi-Fi/USB via HP Smart; no Ethernet at this tier. 'Offline' is usually Wi-Fi drop or wrong queue.
- Paper and sizeA 100-sheet main tray, accepts paper as heavy as 80 lb (300 gsm), and has an automatic document feeder. It measures 6.7 x 16.9 x 19.7 in and weighs 13.6 lb.
- Label and modelThe HP Envy 6455e is a home all-in-one inkjet. Its model and serial are on a label at the back or under the scan lid. HP Smart shows the model after set up.
- Printing from a phoneHP Smart prints and scans from a phone. For a wireless direct connection, use the printer's Wi-Fi Direct name shown on its control panel.
- Everyday printingThe Envy 6455e is for home use, and it prints, scans and copies. For best results, use HP paper and keep the tray guides snug. The printer's panel shows ink levels and network status.
- Troubleshooting orderIf it will not print, check the paper and ink, then the network, then restart the printer and the computer. HP Print and Scan Doctor helps on Windows.
- Warranty and ink programHP's support site shows the warranty status from the serial number. If you use a subscription for ink, keep the printer connected to the internet so that it keeps reporting. Check the ink cartridge expiry dates, because an expired cartridge can show an error.
- Instant Ink and a locked printerThe Envy 6455e is meant for HP's Instant Ink service and may refuse cartridges after a firmware update if it is not enrolled. If cartridges are rejected, check the account, update the printer's firmware and reseat the cartridges, and read the message on the HP Smart app for the exact reason.
- Setting it up from a phoneSetup runs from the HP Smart app with the printer in setup mode on a 2.4 gigahertz network. A phone on a 5 gigahertz-only network may not find it, so connect to the router's 2.4 gigahertz network for the setup and switch back afterwards.

My HP ENVY 6455e won't connect to Wi-Fi.+
HP printers join a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network — if your router combines 2.4 and 5 GHz under one name, the printer may be failing to find the 2.4 GHz band during setup. Put your phone on the 2.4 GHz network, use the HP Smart app to set up the printer, and keep it near the router. Restart the printer and router. Reserving the printer's IP in the router prevents it dropping offline later. It has no Ethernet at this tier, so Wi-Fi (or USB) is the connection.
