Generator AC output sensing was lost. Kohler classes it a warning after 1 second when no output is detected after crank disconnect, and a shutdown after 3 seconds when voltage was present and then lost. Detection begins 10 seconds after crank disconnect.

Shutdown. The low-oil-pressure switch indicated low pressure for more than 5 seconds, or on the 26RCA the oil-level switch indicated low oil. Kohler states plainly that the low-oil-pressure shutdown does NOT protect against low oil level.

Allow the engine to cool, then check the oil level using the procedure in the model's manual.
