• Titanium, and what that changes
  The 15 Pro was the first iPhone with a titanium frame, which is lighter than the stainless steel on earlier Pro models but shows fingerprints at the edges and can feel warm sooner under load. A case that grips the frame helps in a cold hand, and the polished-looking finish cleans with a soft cloth only.
• The Action button
  The mute switch was replaced by an Action button that can be set to silent mode, the camera, the flashlight, a shortcut or Voice Memos. If a phone seems to have stopped ringing, check whether the button is set to silent and whether a Focus is on before suspecting the speaker.
• USB-C and its speed
  This was also the first iPhone with a USB-C port. The Pro supports the faster USB 3 data speed, but only a cable rated for it delivers that speed, so a charging-only cable that came with another device may move photos slowly even though it charges the phone.
• Before you restore a backup
  If you are moving to this phone, charge both phones, update the old one and use a direct transfer or an iCloud backup made that day. A backup restored to an older iOS version will not load, so update the new phone first when it asks.
