• Type — book-style FOLDABLE (crease is normal)
  A foldable with a small outer cover screen and a large inner folding screen. A visible CREASE down the middle of the inner screen is normal on all book foldables — it is where the panel bends, not a defect. Flex mode props it half-open for hands-free use.
• Inner screen care & S Pen
  The inner folding screen is a soft plastic-topped OLED — never use a hard/standard stylus or press hard; it supports only the specific Fold-edition S Pen (not the Ultra's). Do not force objects into the fold. IP48 rating resists water but NOT dust, so keep grit out of the hinge.
• One UI / Android
  One UI optimized for the large screen (multi-window, DeX). eSIM + physical SIM.
• The slimmer Fold
  The Fold6 is Samsung's 2024 book-style foldable, narrower and lighter than its predecessor, with a large inner screen and a cover screen that works like a normal phone. It is water resistant but not dust resistant, which governs how it should be treated.
• What owners run into
  Foldable owners report creases that grow, bubbles under the protective layer, dust in the hinge and a cover screen that is awkward to type on. Because the inner screen has a plastic layer that is part of the display, picking at it makes things worse.
• How to approach a fault
  Keep the phone away from sand and grit, use a soft cloth, and never peel the factory layer. Samsung's service centers handle screen faults; back up before the visit.
• Finding your model and software
  Settings, About phone shows the model number SM-F956 and the One UI version. Foldable software has extra features such as Flex mode and multi-window, and updates tune the cover screen and the hinge behavior.
• Caring for the inner display
  Never use a pen, nail or sharp tool on the inner screen. Use a soft, dry cloth, close the phone before putting it in a pocket and avoid sand and beaches. A visible crease in the middle is normal and appears at an angle, but a crease that grows or a bubble under the layer should go to Samsung.
• Cases and accessories
  A Fold6 case should protect the hinge and the corners without pressing on the screen when closed. S Pen Fold Edition is supported by a compatible case, and ordinary S Pens that use electromagnetic technology are not recommended for the folding screen.
