Questions that only have an answer for the Samsung Galaxy S22+

My Galaxy S22+ stopped getting big Android updates.+

The S22 series has a defined support window (several years of OS upgrades and additional security updates), so an older model eventually stops receiving major new Android versions while still getting security patches for a while. A missing newest feature is that support age, not a fault. Check Settings › Software update; if no update appears, your device has reached the end of its major-update period.

Why does my S22+ get so hot?+

Its first-generation chip runs warm, and an old battery adds to it.

Is the S22+ still updated?+

It is at the end of its update window.

How do I tell which S22+ chip I have?+

The model number ends in B for the Exynos version.

Why switch to 4G in a weak 5G area?+

The radio works harder on a weak 5G signal and drains the battery.
