Manufacturer recall library

Samsung recall library

Samsung recall library: choose the product type before checking the model list. A recall on one product line never extends to a different one from the same brand.

The two Samsung notices in this library cover a slide-in electric range and a top-load washing machine. They are separate recalls for separate products, and neither extends to the other: a range owner has no reason to check the washer notice, and the reverse. For each, the model numbers and the manufacturing dates are the deciding facts, and the notice explains the hazard and the remedy that Samsung is offering.

CPSC recall history

Every CPSC appliance notice naming Samsung

Each row is a notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall database, with its number, date, hazard and remedy in CPSC’s own words, shortened. A row with a link to a record here has the affected model numbers listed; every other row links to CPSC’s notice. A model that is not in any notice is not proven recall-free, so check the model and serial number against the notice itself.

Samsung recalls: the notices on file and how to read them

To check, find the model number on the range's frame or the washer's back or lid and compare it with the list in the notice. If it matches, stop using the product if the notice says to, and contact Samsung or use the repair the notice describes. A product that does not appear in the list is not necessarily free of risk, so check the CPSC database for any newer notice naming the brand.

Do both Samsung recalls affect the same products?

No. One is for a slide-in electric range and the other for a top-load washing machine, with different models and remedies.
