JennAir recall library

JennAir recall library: choose the product type before checking the model list. A recall on one product line never extends to a different one from the same brand.

JennAir appears in two notices here. One concerns a dishwasher, the other a glass cooktop with touch controls. Both are shared with other brands, because the same product was sold under different names, so a notice naming Bosch or KitchenAid can also cover a JennAir model. That is why the model number and the date, not the brand name on the front, are what decide whether a notice applies.

CPSC recall history

Every CPSC appliance notice naming JennAir

Each row is a notice from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall database, with its number, date, hazard and remedy in CPSC’s own words, shortened. A row with a link to a record here has the affected model numbers listed; every other row links to CPSC’s notice. A model that is not in any notice is not proven recall-free, so check the model and serial number against the notice itself.

JennAir recalls: dishwashers and glass cooktops

Check the full model number on the data label and compare it with the list in the notice. If it matches, follow the remedy described there; for a cooktop that can turn on by itself, that may include turning off the power at the breaker until the repair is done. A product that is not listed is not proven safe, so search the CPSC database for other notices.

Why do JennAir recalls mention other brands?

The same product was sold under several brand names, so a recall for one name can cover the others. Check your model number against the notice.
