What is true of this model and changes how you fix it

• Panel — WOLED
  2024 OLED (LG Display WOLED panel), successor to the A80L, with the Cognitive Processor XR. Self-emissive, perfect blacks, no backlight — so a large bright window dimming slightly is the Auto Brightness Limiter, not backlight bloom.
• Smart platform
  Google TV. Update: Settings › System › About › System software update; screen share via Chromecast built-in and AirPlay 2.
• Dolby Vision — yes, including 4K 120 Hz
  Supports Dolby Vision (plus HDR10, HLG, IMAX Enhanced), and does Dolby Vision at 4K 120 Hz for gaming — unlike Samsung, which has no Dolby Vision at all.
• Gaming / HDMI — 2 ports, one shared with eARC
  Two HDMI 2.1 ports (HDMI 3 and 4, 4K 120 Hz, VRR, ALLM); HDMI 3 doubles as eARC. Put the console on HDMI 4 if a soundbar is on eARC. 'Perfect for PlayStation 5' features included.
• Panel and processor (from Sony's K65XR80 page)
  A 120 Hz native panel with the XR Processor and HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision. Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos are supported.
• HDMI 2.1 features
  Four HDMI inputs. 4K 120 Hz, eARC, VRR and source-based tone mapping are specified, with VRR on HDMI 3 and 4 only and ALLM on all four. 120 Hz is supported on HDMI 3 and 4, so put a console on one of those.
• Other connections
  Two USB, one Ethernet, one digital optical audio output, Bluetooth 5.3 (which can send sound to a Bluetooth device at the same time as the TV speaker), and Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac/ax including 6 GHz in the US.
• Sound
  Acoustic Surface Audio+ with two actuators, two tweeters and a subwoofer, front and side positions, and S-Force Front Surround.
• Size, stand and mounting
  The 65-inch is 56 7/8 x 32 3/4 x 1 1/2 in and 49.2 lb without the stand (51.2 lb with it). The stand has standard, narrow and soundbar positions (a 49-inch soundbar position). VESA 300 x 300 mm.
• Power and remote
  438 W rated, 0.5 W standby, with the RMF-TX820U voice remote in the box, plus Sony's PlayStation 5 Auto HDR Tone Mapping.
