Codes 1500–1522 mean the controller did not receive a valid engine-speed signal during starting or lost it while running. Startup failures and loaded shutdowns have different likely causes, so preserve that context.

Codes 1600–1603 mean engine speed fell below the expected range. Safe owner checks are overload, sudden load, fuel availability, exterior airflow and scheduled maintenance—not gas-pressure adjustment.
