The air filter status. Whirlpool lists the stages: blue means good, yellow means order a replacement, red with Replace Filter means replace the air filter, and red with Replace Filter flashing means expired.

Whirlpool's step after replacing the air filter: press and hold the AIR FILTER button for 3 seconds, which turns the icon off and returns it to blue, with Replace Filter disappearing from the control panel. Whirlpool says this works at any filter status and that directions vary by model, so check the Owner's Manual.

Door ajar. Whirlpool says the Door Ajar Alarm sounds when a refrigerator door or freezer drawer is left open for 2 to 5 minutes, depending on the model, with cooling turned on. The alarm repeats every 2 minutes.
Close all doors and drawers, which turns off and resets the alarm.
Whirlpool's steps: touch any button on the control panel to mute the alarm temporarily (the Door Ajar icon stays displayed), make sure bins, shelves and food packages are not stopping a door from closing or reaching the door switch, and check that the refrigerator and the floor under it are level from front to back and side to side, using shims if the floor is not. If it continues, try cycling power. Whirlpool says the alarm volume cannot be adjusted.
