• Heat from dust and cabinets
  The 'Your PS5 is too hot' warning, a roaring fan and random shutdowns come mostly from dust on the heatsink and from a console boxed into a TV cabinet that recirculates its own exhaust. Clear the vents and give it space.
• Rest Mode keeping it warm
  Repair guides note that Rest Mode and HDMI Device Link conflicts can keep the processor active, so a console that is warm while supposedly resting is worth testing with both switched off.
