- PanelOLED evo with LG's 2025 Primary RGB Tandem (four-stack) panel and Brightness Booster Ultimate — LG's brightest OLED, rated around three times the brightness of the B-series in a 10% window. Because it is self-emissive there is no backlight to bloom or clould, so a 'dimming' complaint is almost always the Auto Brightness Limiter pulling back a large bright window (normal OLED behavior) or Energy Saving / ambient light sensing, not a backlight fault.
- Smart platformwebOS 25 with the Magic Remote (pointer + voice). Update path is Settings › Support › Software Update; screen sharing is built-in AirPlay 2 and Miracast. App, cast and remote instructions written for Samsung Tizen, Google TV or Roku TV do not map to webOS.
- Gaming / HDMIFour HDMI 2.1 (48 Gbps) ports supporting up to 165 Hz, VRR, ALLM, NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium. High-refresh/VRR only engages when the input's Game Optimizer is on and the source is on an HDMI 2.1 port — a 'no 120/165 Hz or VRR' report is nearly always that mode or a sub-2.1 cable, not the panel.
- eARCeARC is on HDMI 2. A soundbar or receiver that loses Dolby Atmos or ARC audio should be on that specific port with HDMI-CEC (SIMPLINK) enabled on both devices before the fault is treated as hardware.
- Gaming settings4K at 165 Hz (120 Hz with Dolby Vision), VRR, ALLM, G-Sync and FreeSync Premium. LG's Game Optimizer Boost is the mode that cuts input lag to under 10 ms, so a laggy console usually means the TV is not in Game mode.
- Wi-Fi and smart homeWi-Fi 6E, Ethernet, LG ThinQ and Matter support. If the TV drops off the network, try the Ethernet port before blaming the router.

- RemoteThe redesigned Magic Remote puts an AI button front and center and hides the input selector behind a long press of Home in the ThinQ hub. People who cannot find the input list on this remote are not missing a button.

Why does my LG G5 dim during bright scenes?+
That is the OLED Auto Brightness Limiter, not a fault. When a large part of the screen is very bright, the TV limits total panel power to protect the pixels and manage heat, so a big white window dims slightly. It is normal OLED behavior on every LG OLED, including the brightest G5. Turning off Energy Saving and the ambient light sensor reduces other automatic dimming, but ABL on full-screen brightness cannot be disabled.
My LG G5 won't run 4K 120Hz or VRR from my console/PC.+
Connect the source to one of the HDMI 2.1 ports with a certified 48 Gbps Ultra High Speed cable, then turn on Game Optimizer for that input (Settings › General › Game Optimizer). VRR, ALLM and the 120–165 Hz modes only activate when that mode is on and the source is set to output them; the panel supports up to 165 Hz but it will sit at 60 Hz until the input mode is switched.
